    Hi folks,
This may sound like a silly question, however I have spent most of my working life in the UK.
I was lucky enough to find a permanent position in Ireland towards the end of November 2011 and now find myself on emergency tax. I have received my p60 from the employer inside the last 3 weeks.
How do I go about getting on the right tax band and claiming this tax back?
Any info would be gratefully received.
    thank you.

First things first, did you complete a form 12A when you started to get yourself registered for taxation purposes in Ireland? If not you need to do that as soon as possible.
Secondly, if you are already registered for taxation purposes with Revenue, you can now register for their online service to claim the overpayment back yourself. Or you can just send the P60 to your local Revenue office and ask for a Reveiw if 2011.

The links below will be of assistance to you.
