Am just wondering have I gotten a lemon or is the "british made quality" of this brand somewhat less than you'd expect...

Got a MTB for commuting and light offroading last May -1650 or so miles on the clock to date. BB collapsed within 2 days of purchase, was replaced, failed again almost immediately and was finally replaced with an aftermarket sealed unit which has been fine...

Only use over the winter has been 8 miles commuting a day so nothing heavy. Last week I noticed the back wheel was skewiff and upsetting the brakes - investigation showed that the axle was snapped in two and the spindle nicely bent. Naturally this was repaired under warranty...

So a lemon or are there other stories or is this commonplace with the brand (which I had though was a quite reliable one...)?
