    Hey everyone,

was wondering if anyone has links to biology notes? I want to study LC biology but don't have any books, only the internet. I checked the FAQ but the biology notes there don't seem to be based on the LC course? Thanks very much!

I'm pretty sure you need a teacher to sign something to say you've done the experiments to sit the exam, could be wrong though?

There's nothing you sign to say you've done the experiments! Some schools don't even do them (although they're generally grinds/repeating schools)

    I could've sworn I read it somewhere. Maybe I imagined it. :L

edit: no wait, it does say in this PDF

    http://www.examinations.ie/secmain/2011_candidiate_info_booklet.pdf

that candidates have to do the experiments and if the SEC feels that they haven't, they can refuse to let them take the exam. I don't know if that's enforced though?

As far as I know there isn't, maybe you're thinking of junior cert?

Oh well, it looks like I was wrong! :p People have told me they don't do the actual experiments in their schools though so I doubt it's really looked into ?

http://egs.ie/biology.html has a load of notes, animations, slideshows and interactive exercises for the Leaving Cert Biology course.

Also check out DC Biology on youtube for tutorials - so far theres Photosynthesis, Respiration, the Nephron, Monera, DNA and the structure of the Kidney. More to follow, hopefully, and look out for predictions for the Leaving Cert Biology 2013 paper coming soon......
