Outlook Express back-up/copy.

    I am running Outlook Express on Windows XP Home. I want to back-up my e-mails to an external USB stick and be able to view them on another computer from a folder in OE. 'Help' says as below, but I am unable to create a folder on an external device (USB Stick) in the Outlook folder list. Any advice? Tks.

    To compact and back up e-mail folders

    Select an e-mail folder.
    On the File menu, point to Folder, and then click Compact.
    To back up the folder, find the folder file, and then copy it to a backup folder, floppy disk, or network drive. Outlook Express e-mail folders have a .dbx extension (for example, "Sent Items.dbx").

    On my XP machine, the .dbx files are here:
    C:\Documents and Settings\myusername\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\{C6D08223-47AB-4D43-A52E-F2DF10180D3A}\Microsoft\Outlook Express

    copy thr files there to an external medium. Or you can drag an email (or several) from an OE folder to a windows explorer folder, it will create *.eml file(s), which will open in OE, but are just text, or MIME with Html.
