Hey guys, I'm looking to model a diesel fuel pump as a CAD project. I have gone around to a few garages around Limerick but they all recycle their old waste fuel pumps. Would any of you guys have one I could take / borrow around the Limerick area?

I may have something to suit you. Do you have a preference for a cable or drive by wire pump?

Are you just going to model the casing or the full pump with internals? Doing a CAD model of the full thing would be a serious undertaking IMO.

I'm going to go for the whole thing, interior and all. Thats why a I am looking for a broken one, it wont be much use when I am through with it.

As for drive by wire or whatever I have a definite preference for a particular brand and I would rather a rotary one. What might you have?

I certainly will. I intend to model it then create an animation of it in operation. Hopefully the the scrap yards will have something for me.
