How do I turn off Google predictive text?

Moved to comp and tech.

Options->Advanced->Untick the box that says check my spelling as I type.

How do I find the options?

I've searched on the net and found this (I am getting pissed with gooogle, it should be an enabler not a pediment)

When I got to Step 4 I found this instead of what should have been there, no dialog box and double clicking it turns it from false to true? I didn't go any further as I didn't want to **** anything up.

general.useragent.compatMode.firefox;false

Instead of

general.useragent.extra.firefox

I usually always have scripts DISABLED and that crap thankfully doesnt work w/o scripts!
