    Hi all,

I am considering getting a SEAT Leon 1.4 TSI petrol model, around 2008, maybe 2009 at a stretch. i'm looking for value in these and of course any info from those in the know.

such as, fuel efficiency or known issues. the car will be used for urban driving around 90% of the time, don't really do a lot of miles.

    Cheers.

I've been driving a 2008 model for 2 years now without any real problems, great cars IMO!

Had one minor problem with some earth wiring that I was told was common enough with them and it was throwing the electrics off, but easily rectified.

nice one, how about fuel consumption - my point is that i currently have a petrol 1.6ltr passat, and was wondering if there would be a difference, if any, in terms of the effeciency of the 1.4 TSI engine.

    Thanks.

Those examples seem expensive for the year, for another 2k you can have this 2010 model:

I agree they are way over priced given the age of the car.

The 2010 car shown above is not the 1.4 turbo however.

    How do you know that?

The lack of a twin tail pipe, The seats aren't red, not tsi badges on the side and the alloys are wrong. Been through enough of them:)

Also the name of that is sports limited while the tsi is sports plus.

With the tsi's make sure it's got back elec windows. The models that have this also have folding mirrors and better wheels. Otherwise it's just a UK spec reference with km clocks.
