You do know that only 33% of the money that " charity " raises only goes to the causes that need it, the rest goes to the Ugandan Army to arm them and everyone knows what a lovely bunch of guys they are

Ahh now lets deal in fact there's enough wrong with this campaign without having to lie to people, 80% of the money goes to iniatives, which include film making awareaness campaigns and publicity, the 33% (included in the 80%) that your talking about goes to on the on the ground project that the charity does, like the ones they talk about in the video the radio early warning system is quite a good idea! 20% is wasted on admin/salaries/fundraising ect. Which is actually really good in comparision to some other charities.

To be clear not a penny goes to the Ugandan Army.

Right so now to what I see wrong.

    1. The LRA have not been in Uganda for 6 years, northern Uganda is not a warzone and hasn't been for quite some time. At the moment the LRA is active in Congo, Central african Republic, and the Sudan. Northern Uganda however is rebuilding and doing reasonable well (For Central Africa).

    2. This group is calling for military action against the LRA, How do you think that the Ugandan Army is going to get near this man, would they perhaps have to kill a few of these child soldiers that they are suppose to be campaigning for.

    3. The Ugandan government has had lot of accusations against it's army and itself in recent years of Human Rights abuse (Looting Rape and worst of all is the death penalty for homosexuality), they had US military assistances in the past but were cut off for being aggressors in the second war in the congo which resulted in 6 million dead. The government hasn't changed since, in fact the same man has been in charge for 26 years, and elections are frequently called into question, opposition leaders have been arrested and attacked, Uganda is far from democratic, strengtening their army is not a good idea!

    4. The USA training and equiping this army is a dangerous thing to do, where else have they done this? Maybe read the history of the origns of the following to understand what normally happens, all had US backing at some point.

The taliban, Sadam Hussein, Mugabe, Idi Amin, Papa Doc, Gadaffi, I could go on.

    4. The LRA are only a couple of hundred strong not thousands as the video claims.

In future when a slick video like this appears I suggest you should read the other side of the story, not meaning to sound condesending but this Kony thing I find annoying to the extreme!

No doubt Kony is as evil as you can find and what's happening is utterly wrong. But it's also important to know more about Invisible Children!

-Spent $8,676,614 last year. Only 32% went to their charity program. 32%!!!

    -Accountability of 2/4 stars

    -Group favours direct military intervention,

-Their money funds the Ugandan government’s army and various other military forces.

-Both the Ugandan army and Sudan People’s Liberation Army are riddled with accusations of rape and looting

-Kony is no longer active in Uganda and hasn’t been since 2006 by their own admission

"Military intervention may or may not be the right idea, but people supporting KONY 2012 probably don’t realize they’re helping fund the Ugandan military who are themselves raping and looting away. If people know this and still support Invisible Children because they feel it’s the best solution based on their knowledge and research, I have no issue with that. But I don’t think most people are in that position, and that’s a problem."

Read my post and stop with the lies, 80% of their money goes to activities, check http://www.charitynavigator.org/index.cfm?bay=search.summary&orgid=12429 yourself if you don't believe me.

Not a cent goes to the ugandan army or government (Although if successful Amercan Government money probably will).

I'm not a supporter as my previous post will clearly show but I hate misinformation!
