    How would people feel about promoting their business pages in here? I.e. you post a link to your business page and other users have the opportunity to 'like' for you and you can do the same in return. Would help with numbers when starting a new page and might actually help its promotion through sharing with other friends. I like the idea of the community here helping to promote each others business. :)

    What do people / mods think?

    I could see it working for established posters but tbh it could get swamped with new sign-ups just to get "likes".
    Can you explain how likes would improve business, from your point of view?

    Btw, there is nothing stopping you from linking to your page in your sig, as long as it's not a big advertisement.

    My own business page wouldn't benefit from it at all as what I do is trade related so unless others were in the same business it would be of no help. I might have something in the future that could benefit from it though.

    In general if regular posters are putting up a link to their business page in a thread with no chat they would benefit by other users liking their page. Chances are each page will only be relative to a small percentage but with such a diverse crowd here surely a few would be interested in each page.

    I know about putting a link in a sig but the idea is to help someone kick start a new page as opposed to an established one and hopefully drumming up a little business for them.

    Does that make sense?
