    I don't want to hi jack other thread, does anyone have any idea when they will implement the new tax.

    My tax is up in april.

    160 at the moment, but will be 384 under engine size

    The sooner the better, i'm itching to change cars but not doing a thing until I see what's in store.
    Hope they look at every car tax band old and new. Not fair that my tax is nearly €900 and someone in the same car but 2 yeas newer is paying €350. If they both move to €450 or €500 it might restore some faith in the Government for me.

    You are making many presumptions here, nothing will change by April, it might be worth considering taxing it for 3 months, than 6 months and than for 12 months before year end so as to potentially avoid the increase for 2013.

    Not a chance of that happening I would think.
