Came across this product & thought it might be of interest to folks here.

I've no affiliation whatsoever, but this seems like a great solution for home studios. I'll be adding it to my wish list.

nice, but i don't see a huge difference on the way i have it now, with the 2 screens one next to each other.

I would love though to be able to have the screens one on TOP of the other. This will help my head be ALWAYS in the centre position.

Portrait monitors (ASUS) are easily available now also.

For multi-display, check out Ati eyefinity

    2 Screens... just not enough!

That's reminds me of when my cigarette habit was really getting out of control. I'd have the urge to light one, while I was in the process of smoking one.

I'm still using Ableton 7 - the only reason I'm tempted to get Ableton 8, is the feature that lets you group and hide stuff. Once the window fills up with too much stuff, I lose the run of myself.

And in situations where I've had two monitors - the second monitor has just become a nuisance. You've only got one pair of eyes.

I think, for using something like Ableton, tilting the monitor on its' side and getting the video to use that monitor dimension, gives you more length - so you can watch more tracks at once.

True some difference in DAW mean different setups. In my early days I wanted to get a portrait monitor for Reason - as that would have worked perfectly. I used to have cubase and 3 monitors - this worked well as i could have my frequency analyser on the third 24/7.

Today, I'm in Ableton 8 and web developing/project management and would love to have 6 monitors - I really need it lol... chrome alone has 26 tabs and i've got FF/Safari up, customer support pages etc... real monster to keep on top of and need to still be flicking around tabs for workflow (i blame the ginseng!!!) - so just saying that it could be handy to have more, or a very high rez large screen to cram it all on.

I have two monitors on my desktop DAW, and couldn't live without the extra space now, but has anyone here had any luck with getting two monitors running from a Macbook Pro through Thunderbolt?

Wondering if there's an alternative solution to the dualhead2go...
