    Only getting round to watching the Wire now, 7 episodes in, what's really bothering me though is how they are able to sit on the Couch without getting their backsides all wet?

    That thing would take a year to dry out once it gets wet!

    Their average low is higher than our average high. Also I'd like to know what their idea of "humid" is, Ireland is generally ridiculously humid.

    I used to wonder about that couch too, for the exact same reason as the OP! It always seemed to be wet around the docks in season 2. Sounds like it was just after raining but I never remember seeing it actually raining.
