Society positions

Hey I was just wondering if anybody could explain to me the purpose of the different positions in a society :

These ones:
Auditor
Vice Auditor
Treasurer
Secretary
Public Relations Officer
Sports & Social Officer
Finance & Sponsorship Officer
Liaison Officer

I know what the first 4 do so any help re the rest would be much appreciated

Accounting and Finance AGM?

Ya sure, first 4 are obvious, but most societies combine Vice Auditor with something else, usually Treasurer/Finance Officer.

Can't speak for the society as they might have something different in their constitution, but in general PRO is responsible for creating posters for events, printing them up, putting them up, putting events on the events wall, promoting through Facebook/social media/website.

Sports and Social would be responsible for whatever sports tournament they organise(probably soccer cup) and would be responsible for arranging parties, making sure people get to know each other after events etc. They'd also,along with Auditor, be responsible for organising their ball if they have one

Finance and Sponsorship sounds like a Treasurer's position tbh, but is probably more to do with getting outside sponsorship for the society, so if its Accounting and Finance, getting on to KPMG,PWC etc and trying to get sponsorship.

No idea what a Liaison officer does, other than possibly getting companies in, and being the point of contact for companies to get in touch with the society. Might also be the point of contact for the accounting and finance classes to get in touch with the society.

That'd be my guess in relation to the last two. Probably best to email the society and ask since they'd have their constitution. PRO and Sports and Social would probably be very similar though

PRO does all the social media, posters for events and advertising. Social Officers organize events and liason officers liase with the SU,other clubs and societies and external contacts such as companies and people.
