Episode 30 is up lads, enjoy!

We're already halfway through the Six Nations, with a previously postponed match out of the way! This week, on our 30th show, Dave is joined by Alan in Luxembourg, Doc in Dublin, Daithi in France and new man Michael to look back on last weekend's action along with looking ahead to the fourth round of the Six Nations.

Coming up on this week's show:

0:00 – The team says hi and we welcome Michael to the show for the first time, a well travelled rugby fan who has represented Scottish Universities.

4:00 – Ireland fell short in Paris and had to settle for a disappointing 17-17 draw against a misfiring France who were dominated in the first half by the men in green. Daithi gives us the perspective from France which may differ from the views from Ireland! The lads discuss Ireland’s impressive first 40 minutes display along with their second-half performance where they lost an 11 point lead.

20:30 – Ireland face Scotland this Saturday at Aviva Stadium. Scotland have some impressive players but will their uncreative centres let them down in terms of giving dangerous players like Stuart Hogg quality ball?

36:00 – The Welsh media believe a Welsh Grand Slam is inevitable and this weekend they face a struggling Italy side in Cardiff, a game they should expect to win comfortably. You won’t find many fans that disagree on this show!

40:35 – An improving England side travel to Paris to face France, a team they typically play well against in the Six Nations. Can France bounce back from last week where their Grand Slam quest was ruined? Is this young England team good enough to win against a more talented opponent?

48:35 – We round up the RD Pro12, Aviva Premiership and Top14. We also talk about the biggest transfer story of the week, Tommy Bowe returning to his native Ulster from Ospreys on a three year contract.

1:03:30 – Doc mentions some rugby news of the week and as usual he gives his bet of the week (Clermont +1 away to Agen).

Dave said he emigrated from Belfast. He has a very soft northern accent though so maybe not.

It was a very good show lads. One of the best I've heard anyway.

I think Michael has a bit of Edinburgh mixed in there!

Very soft accent imo, easy on the ear, almost Donegal :p

In any case he knows what he's on about. Be good to get him on again on an Aviva weekend with Newcasttle Mike.

Been to Edi twice, 6N(Fra v Sco) & HC(StadeT), bloody great city to visit.
Everybody should go there at least once, loads of history & loads to visit.
I found the people really friendly but their accents (to my ear) were harsher.

Just my opinion, without condecenson, crossing fine lines or any other fantatasmic interpretations :D

    Hi Guys

Another good show, nice to see new people putting there views forward, still miss William.....would like to hear his views on new coach and Bowe joining Ulster

I know before you asked for things to discuss....just putting one thing forward....

As posted on the Super 15 thread, was there always a mystery around the Super 15 and previous versions where I was always told they had a mystery dark art of playing rugby so every Northern Hemp team should be scared when meeting the international teams, I have watched a lot of it(this season) and there is no dark art, drop in any of the top 3 provinces into that league and they would more than hold there own. Is it time our international teams thought the same.....

Why do we fear Aus/NZ/SA when our own teams can play better rugby? I pick out Leinster(I know I am a fan) but when they play there flowing rugby they would kill most if not all of teams in Super 15......

Pick any of the starting 15 players on Ulster/Leinster/Munster and most would have no problem getting into any of the sides in Super 15....

I just wonder why Irish players have never tried there game down there? or have they?

Sorry one last point and then I will shut up...

With young players not getting chance at there provinces they seem to always move to UK, would it not be worth the IRFU time trying to set up feeder clubs in Super 15 to send players over there for a few seasons? instead of going to what is a terrible game in UK. With so many Irish in Oz/Nz at the moment it is more like home over there than in UK. Send them over for a few seasons, get used to how they play and then bring back. Will only help Ireland.

They have done with Ozzie rules so why not with rugby?

I won't tell you my stories of my time in Oz but it was like walking into a local in Ireland in most Irish pubs. My friends are over there now(younger than me mine you) and they have a better chance of meeting people from school/old days than in your local pub.

You can rest assured William will be back on, he really is knowledgable. Maybe not next week but very soon. Little things like life & logistics get in the way now & again donchaknow :D.

My own opinion would be that its good to rotate the "voices", keeps the show fresh. I know I was on a few weeks in a row, probably too many really, but that only happened because of the frozen pitch fiasco. It wasn't ideal but there you go.

Thanks for the feedback & the ideas ;)
