RAM upgrade question

    Hi folks,
I have an overclocked setup that I bought as a kit a few years ago:

    Intel i7 920 D0 2.66Ghz (currently running at about 3.4GHz)
    Gigabyte EX58-UD5 Intel X58 Motherboard
    Corsair XMS3 6GB PC3-12800C9 DDR3 (3 x 2GB DIMMs)

I'd like to upgrade to 12GB of RAM but I'm not sure if I'll be able to maintain the overclock if I do that?

So my question is: would I get away with simply adding three more 2GB DIMMs (I'd get the exact same ones again), or would I stand a better chance if I replace the whole lot with this 12GB kit?
