Audi A4 1.6 petrol

    Hi, My 00 Audi A4 failed the NCT Today on Emissions,This is what is written on the report;
    High Idle Lambada;1.05 not between 0.97 and 1.03 Fail/refusal
    (3.030 rpm :rolleyes:

    Anyone know how to fix this????

    Your running too lean. Get any faults read and test sensors especially the o2 sensor.

    And check for air leaks on the intake hose after the MAF. These engines love to split hoses and leak all over the place.

    That could do it alright. Drawing in more air to the emissions probe means a leaner figure would come out.

    Do you mean the breather hoses?
    I had problem with them last year, they cracked and were leaking oil evapours, but didnt know they could affect the emissions?
