commerical car/van insurance

    sorry if this has been covered before, im looking at a car derived van its currently taxed as a commerical and has valid DOE cert, if i was to insure this van would it need to be commerically insuranced or could i put it down as a car and change the tax etc as if it was a car:confused:

    you can insure it as a private vehicle with no problems

    thats great so i take it they would just insure it as the car equivalent ie 3 door hatchback

    just rang axa who my car is previously insured with and they wont cover the van only as a commerical:mad:

    sorry meant to say not all companies do. Im currently with quinn and they do. I have been with Fbd and they did as well. Try Briton insurance, they are an online broker but got me a good quote my first few years with the van
