I was reading a local history society paper and the author talked about a Slip carriage attached to the 5.30 Dublin to Belfast GNR Express. Where there many used on the Irish rail system?

The Great Southern & Western Railway operated them too and there used to be a slip coach on some of the Dublin/Cork Down trains for the Tullow branch - slipped at Sallins.
