so you call a help desk blah blah blah and you get put on hold

got put on hold by bank of ireland the other day and they had classical crap !

cold calling today and got 2 cool ones ( Foster the people - pumped up kicks and Loca people )

anyone get cool hold music ?

or is there a number to call that just plays music ? :pac:

i hate it when your on hold there is loads of static inbetween the ten or so seconds of audible music

The hold music for Harvey Norman is my favourite - it's a hilarious extended mix of the "Go Harvey Go!" song from the ads

In an old job, I'd often have to ring one particular insurance company (I sadly forget which one!) whose hold music was an Anuna-style track that was interrupted at around eight-second intervals by a voiceover saying things like "Did you know X, Y or Z about us?"

Unfortunately the track didn't continue after each voiceover, but returned to the beginning. So I'd get the same eight seconds of chanting over and over again every time I was put on hold. That was five years ago and I still remember the tune so clearly!

Used to have to ring up HP for client machines, the usual droll music would put me to sleep

One day I got onto one Asian HP rep who was obsessed with Ireland, kept asking me questions about the place, asked if I liked The Doors and then put LA Woman on as hold music :pac:
