    Lads n Lasses

Just wondering if any of you have any recent prices for suckler cows with calves at foot or springing

Any breed info welcome but Limousin in particular

Ideally i'm thinking R and U grade Lims first or second calvers

few plainish lm cows ones sold for €1490 to €1780 carrying lims two weeks ago near home, would of got it hard to get over € 1000 a few years back for the same kind of ones, still relitave to the price of other stock incalf cows dare i say it are better value!!

Reasonable prices considering the price of everything else.

I purchased 18 LM's incalf heifers (incalf to AI LM) in two lots of 9 from 2 farmers in past few weeks, €1,350 and €1,450 each so average of €1,400. Good quality 2 year old heifers, due to start calving this weeked until mid April, fingers crossed all goes well. Agree would have been much cheaper 2 years ago but definately seem good value compared to some of the dry cattle prices at the moment (once @rse does not fall out of the market in next few years again!!)
