Brake fluid container loose?

    Hi guys,

I know almost zero about what goes on underneath a cars bonnet. Lately i can hear a slight rattle under the hood when i'm drving on uneven ground. I've lifted the hood and the only thing that i can see that could possible be rattling is the brake fluid container. Should this be normally very secure? I can rattle it against the hoses near it. I drive an opel astra. I know i'll have to bring it to the garage anyway just curious if anyone recognises this issue.

    Thanks,
    Jerry.

if you think it is the brake fluid holder thats loose, that is very serious, you could loose all your braking ability if it came fully loose ,or the brake fluid itself would do a lot of harm around the engine bay as its very bad for painted surfaces, i doubt that it could be heard rattling from the inside of the car as its made of plastic,so its probably something else

Can you post a picture? The brake fluid reservoir is attached directly to the master cylinder and couldn't really be loose without causing a leak.
