    Hi,

    I am looking for advise on what a fair price would be for this opel astra sxi

    considering a similar one was advertised and sold pretty much straight away for over a €1500 less then the asking of the one above here is a link to the one that was advertised for €3850: http://cars.donedeal.ie/for-sale/cars/3078759

    I do understand that the one I am looking at is a diesel but beside the petrol diesel difference there isnt much difference between them they are both currently out of nct and both will be gotten for the buyer. also could you please advise if there are any common issues to look out for when buying an astra sxi?

    Judging by the first ad, I would wonder about what kind of owner they are. It looks rough to me. Especially the after market body kit. Probably 1K over priced, IMO

    One is petrol and the other is diesel. That'll account for some of the difference.

    I do understand that the diesel will be a bit more expensive but 1700 more expensive for a diesel seems a bit much to me. I was thinking of offering in the region of €4500 for the car subject to NCT and visual inspection. do you think this would be fair?
