(Sorry if this is here already)

Right so viral videos are now being made in to movies?

"A time for... kicking ass!" Are you ready for yet another helping of Danny Trejo as the Vietnam vet with a vengeance in Bad Ass, based on a true story? I don't know how anyone could take this movie seriously, but that said, it does look badass indeed. Danny Trejo stars in Bad Ass, directed by Craig Moss, telling the story of a Vietnam vet who gets pissed when his best friend is murdered and the police aren't doing anything about it. A new trailer has debuted on Apple to compliment the first minute-long trailer, but this one is also barely 55 seconds, but packs in a hell of a lot of action and, impressively, explosions as well. Check this out!

Watch the second official trailer for Craig Moss' Bad Ass with Danny Trejo, in high def from Apple:

Decorated Vietnam vet Frank Vega returns home only to be shunned by society leaving him without a job. It's not until forty years later that an incident on a commuter bus makes him a local hero. But his good fortune turns for the worse when his best friend is murdered and the police aren't doing anything about it.

Bad Ass is directed by filmmaker Craig Moss, who directed those cheesy comedies Saving Ryan's Privates and The 41-Year-Old Virgin Who Knocked Up Sarah Marshall and Felt Superbad before. The screenplay is by Moss & newcomer Elliot Tishman. Made by Amber Lamps & Silver Nitrate, it doesn't have a distributor yet, as far as we know, but expect to see it sometime in the next year. Stay tuned for more! Look badass?!

Looks like a nice brainless grindhouse style flick along the lines of Machete/Hobo with a Shotgun.

If you're wondering what this is a p-take of, it's this. (Even the "Somebody call an amber lamps" bit at the end).

Don't forget, this is how Machete got started! :D

    Machete was awesome!

It's a shame that these filmmakers don't shoot on actual film. Nothing worse than watching one of the many Grindhouse homages out atm and realising that it's another shot on digital with a load of work done in post to try and ape the style.

Machete was atrocious, even as a Grindhouse homage it was almost unwatchable.

It was funny, over the top violent, cheesey dialogue, had a great ensemble cast with beautiful actresses. It was one of the best films of 2011.

Good interview with DT on the IGN movies podcast this week. He was a serious bad ass in his day.
