nature reserve reps

    Hi all

    im just wondering if anybody knows if land that is down as a nature reserve for reps can be disturbed at all? I wanted to plant a little section of it with cabbage etc but my dad said he didnt think i could?

    I would be very careful. The area in question may be hatched green (non-NATURA) or red (NUTURA) on the REPS map. You must maintain the plot in accordance with the plan. in some cases, you may be allowed to graze, but only if the plan allows this activity to be carried out on the plot. One thing you can do is get your planner to visit site and to apply for a derogation from the Dept of Ag. The inspector will visit and make a call. this only is allowed in exceptional circumstances though.

    I presume you mean the .8ha closed off under the 'creating a habitat' option, in which case no you cant cultivate any of it. Why dont you ring your planner?
