    Hi all,

I've a 2.4 Honda Accord with 73K miles and there's judder from take off on the clutch. In addition the release bearing is starting to squeal intermittently, so it's time to start looking at getting a replacment clutch, pressure plate and bearing done.

I've been quoted €700 + VAT so circa €800 by a clutch and gearbox specialist, does this seem right? It seems high to me, but I know there's a good bit of work on an Accord.

    Thanks.

Should be able to get it for less then that easily enough.

The subframe does have to be removed from the car alright so its a bit more time consuming then other clutches.

What about the Nissan Almera. Mine is 2006, 1.5l saloon. Any idea about cost for this as I'm sick of getting ripped off for minor repairs.

A new thread would be best IMO.

A clutch change, while fairly routine, would not be considered a minor repair.

For your car you should be looking in the region of €350 for a clutch change in a registered garage.

700/800 is quite a serious price for a clutch change, it's a big job but you could get it alot cheaper than that price.
