    Hi,

Does anybody know where you can buy some white Georgian-look tape? It's just tape to imitate bars rather than tape to fix bars onto glass.

I have seen houses with this on but cannot find any for sale.

Anybody shed some light on this?

There is a product called '' plant on Georgian bar'' which is a pvc bar you stick to the outside/inside of glass, to make it look like georgian bars, which are usually between the D/G units.
Does not work really well, as the glue tends to go off, and they fall off.

Not sure if this is what you are looking for, I have not seen a tape.

if this is what you want, some DIY shops Woodies, B&Q should stock it

Thanks for the response. No its defo just white tape. A few houses in our estate have it.

I have the number of someone who does it (supplies and fits) for a sizeable fee and I know I could do it myself.

I was wondering this too. Guess what it is???? White insulation tape. I did it on my sisters house. She had it on her front windows and wanted it on the back. She even contacted the house builders looking for the stuff
I literally got on the ladder and looked closely at the tape.
I bought standard WHITE insulation tape its the same width same thickness. I stuck it on 3 years ago and its still there!
Yes its as simple as that!

PS yes pain in arse to fit have to be carefull measurements etc. Each window took me about 15 minutes.

    Does it not peel off?

No sir it doesnt at all and doesnt look like it will anytime soon.! I thought maybe UV would damage it but no absolutly not. Just cut the ends neatly, dont do RIGHT up to the window frame cut it about 2 cm away so the tape pats down neatly on the glass. Get some white Insul tape yourself and compare it.
If it doesnt work I will personally clean up the mess that it makes. But i can assure you that it wont be neccesary ! :D
    White insulation tape 2.50
Your time .... say 4 hours... . all done
can email you pics if you want! :D
