MF Printer recommendations for reliability with generic ink

We have a Canon MP780 multifuction printer (circa 2005) we hve used generic ink on and it has broken our hearts. Twice the Bk ink has clogged up. Each time we have brought it to a canon shop, last time we were liucky the did not charge, both times the said it was clogged because of using non genuine ink. Last time we were using ink from inkClub Ireland and I got en email from them in advance to say that if the printer broke because of their ink they would pay for it!

But it's time to get a more reliable printer. Our requirements are as a scanner/copier Pinter for home office, max 50 copies per week and also for photo printing. It must be a reliable printer with generic ink. It seems people say epsom do well with generics, what have ye found?

If we got all of the above I'd also love to have it wireless and be able to scan to email.

The most important think id one that works reliable and economically with generic ink
