Seized door locks

Can't seem to find much on this in the forum or elsewhere so I'll try here.

I've an auld MKIV Fiesta and the driver and passenger locks are seized and in the process of seizing respectively at the moment. My brothers and mother, who I share it with, are banging on at me to bring it to a Ford dealer to get it fixed, and serviced (even though I only just replaced and topped up filters and fluids, but that's another matter entirely).

I'd rather do it myself but I'm not sure what the best option is. The problem appears to be in the cylinders/barrels as the central locking works fine. My question is should I:

A: Attempt to clean out the barrels, I'm not sure if they're worn and useless, or if I can even attempt to as they're a sealed unit. I've pumped WD-40 in the keyhole to no avail.

    or

B: Get replacement barrels for all doors and ignition, along with correctly coded keys, either from scrap or new.

Ideally A! I haven't taken the doors apart yet as I want to know if there's any point in going at it without replacement barrels. Sorry if this seems like a silly post, I just can't work on it during daylight hours and I'd rather not be taking stuff apart in the dark unless I'm sure I've the solution.

A, pump em full of penatrating oil.let em soak for an hour and then pour in a drop of 3in1 oil or equivlent and give em a few turns,be grand for another 5years afterwards

Are you sure its the door locks and not a worn key? Those Ford keys wear down over time until they don't work properly in the locks.

I'm pretty sure it happens with the spare as well but I hadn't thought of that!

If the key is worn get a new key. If that doesn't help matters then you will need new lock barrels. Ford can make them up to suit your own key, they aren't that expensive and they are very easy to fit.
