There will be a statement issued at half time when they are 2-0 down to say they are sticking with him and they are confident in his plan for the rest of this game.

Fair play to Keane for sticking it to the Chelsea players.

Bring back AVB?? Nothing surprises me with Roman anymore.

imagine the bollicking they'd get if he was manager! he didn't see the lighter side of that at all!

Mourinho should make an appearance at The match today.

Funny thing was they were the subs not the starting 11.

Judging by his time as a manager, if he was in charge they'd probably be in the relegation zone now.

Mata should have done better. That would have been some start.

And what part of his managerial career suggest that?

Chelsea need to stop hiring managers with double barreled names... it's clearly the only reason they've been doing so badly.

First it was Luiz Felipe Scolari, then Andre Villa Boas, it is inevitable that they will continue their bad form while having the services of a Robert Di Matteo.

Attacking free flowing football my backside! Someone needs to show them how to string together more than 2 passes.

    It's just painfull to watch.

So, still the same Chelsea then

You would wonder, they really should be coming through this game comfortably like, the amount of players missing for Birmingham.

Best way to put the AVB departure behind them is go out there, play like they can play and get a good convincing win.

like a team of fairly average players which is what they are.

Brum up for this, Chelsea huffing and puffing, poor old Torres, one minute he looks good but then appalling.

    Any truth ....
@thisisanfield: Chelsea fans singing anti-Rafa songs?”

It's hard to take anything positive from their preformance. Shocking in front of goal and when they are defending they all look in a constant state of panic. Nobody looks like they want the ball and just can't wait to get rid of it when they do get it.

Phew! At least Mr Mata knows where the feckin goal is.

Professional job by Chelsea tonight , good to finally see a win.

Torres really needs to go in the Summer ,he never looks like scoring for Chelsea.
