    Hey everyone

    Just wondering there i have a focus and am looking into getting a mk4 golf. Anybody got any cons or bad points with these cars?

    Was looking into doing it up maybe lowering it, rs alloys or bbs alloys etc.

    Btw ill be getting the 1.4 petrol not gttdi.

    Weak gearboxes are the only thing I know to look out for.

    They are smooth but slow.

    The 1.4 VW engine is renowned for being one of their worst. Slow, often unreliable and the MK4 golf itself its also renowned for being the worst Golf.

    If you have a Focus, then you've already got a better car then a 1.4 MK4 Golf.
