Windows 7 Network Connection Icon Question?

    hi i have changed to win 7 from vista, i would like to know is there any way to change the network icon in the notification area taskbar to show network activity and conection to the internet like in previous windows.

    Go to the Properties of the Network adapter and there should be a checkbox there to show it.
