Amazon estimated delivery date

    I bought a text book last week on amazon and got an e-mail today saying it has been dispatched. In the same mail it says:

    Your estimated delivery date is:
    Monday, April 16, 2012

    Will I be waiting that long?! The book was 25 dollars and postage 8. Guess this brings it over the VAT limit so could the delay be down to a customs issue?

    I'll nearly be sitting the exam by the time I get it if the above is true :mad:

    Yup, had a similar email buying a purple violin from the states (dont ask) bought it expecting to ship from the states within 2 or 3 days and delivery should be 7 - 10 days, however little did I know but the marketplace seller was just drop shipping it from China via sh*tty post, it took 35 days to arrive. Now iv learned to email marketplace seller first and ask about delivery times.

    On the other hand I bought something from pixmania lately and they said 8 - 10 day delivery and got it in 3. Online delivery is a headache if you want something fast, I feel your pain

    Bit of a learning curve i suppose! Bought another book off amazon recently and got it in a few days, that was amazon.co.uk though :rolleyes:
