    Hi all,

the missus has a HTC Desire and got an app ages ago called G-Tunes which is like itunes, it allows her download any song for free. It is not available anymore.

She got a new car yesterday and it has a port to plug in an ipod and play her music tru the sound system. I have an ipod that i got and dont need. Is there anyway of getting the music on her HTC onto the ipod?

    Cheers

If you connect the Desire up to the computer it should show up like a USB Stick would. You can then look around the folders on the Desire and find where the music is. Copy the music from that into your itunes library, from here onto your ipod.

What kind of port is in the car for connecting the Ipod? is it the apple flat connection thingy or a usb port or a headphone socket? Depending on the connection it may be possible to connect the Desire up.

Lastly, if the Car has bluetooth it may be possible to listen to music directly from the Desire. In my car when I connect the phone up over bluetooth I can switch the car radio to Aux and play music from my phone. Very handy!

Cool i will try that later.

There is an ipod connection and then a cable which is like a headphone jack and the ipob connection. She can hook up the desire but if she uses an ipod it will show up on her display and let her look tru the music through her headunit display and select tracks vis the steering wheel. Plus a nano will be much neater than a bulky phone.

Doesnt have bluetooth, her old car did and she played music tru that.

Tried copying the music but itunes keeps saying they cannot convert because of wwa or mma one of those things, Balls anyway
