right had the dreaded nct last fri evening didnt turn out to be as bad as i though it would but it also just proved to me its a joke of a test but i wont complain as i got away lightly lol
so it failed on a front left ball joint, back rear trailing arm bush, horn not working, lights out of focus, rear brake light gone, and fancy rear plate.
so not to bad a fail but the funny thing is when reved there was a cloud of black smoke from it, also the two front tyres need replacing the back left tyre has a crack in the side wall, also the abs lights are on this just proved to me the nct is a joke windscreen cracked also

Do the tyres have less than 1.6mm across the centre 75% of the thread ?
Is there visible thread pattern across the entire thread?

I'm surprised the ABS light didn't attract a fail too.

It's such a joke that your car will now have the following fixed
a front left ball joint, back rear trailing arm bush, horn not working, lights out of focus, rear brake light gone, and fancy rear plate
   .

Even someone with not a breeze of knowledge about cars would know when a light or horn is gone, it's for people like you that NCT's are needed, if they weren't there you wouldn't maintain your car whatsoever from one car to the next.

These passed in December on a 00 mondeo that I bought off a work colleague 4 days after NCT. Also the drivers seat needed welding, wipers were frayed and windscreen washer didn't work. It failed on a brake bulb and he didn't remove the alloy plastic covers to show the nuts - Visual retest only....

Fix the things they told you to fix and you may find out that them things pass a retest but the other stuff fails and you've to retest again.

it would be a bare 1.6 fully across all the thread wit the inner ages total gone
thats what surprised me as i felt these were meant to flash on a off as in the owners manual

before u critise me know i fully maintain a car to the highest posssible stantard i can afford which is usually every 7 thousand miles or less.
horn is working it blows full sound for 2 seconds then sounds like someone being strangled brake light bulb was one in rear window and it had gone just 2 days prevuiosly as the onboard computer showed it up.
generally every sat or sun i look over the car fully when i give it a wash

Apologies, I presumed you were one of the many on our roads driving around with not a care in the world regards their lights.
