    Hi guys,
Just looking for a couple of ideas for some holidays. Basically, I'm looking to go somewhere for a bit of an adventure trip for 4/5 weeks in june or july. I'm 21, male, more than likly be by myself, unless anybody here has plans and is looking for a travel partner.
Budget will be about 5k all in, although could stretch that a bit if needed! I've always wanted to go to south america, but don't mind if I don't get there this time, any ideas, for anywhere in the world would be great!!

    Thanks,
    Alan

    North Korea (seriously)

    Check out this guys blog:http://vienna-pyongyang.blogspot.com/

Vienna to Pyongyan by rail via Russian trans-siberian. Cost €3100 for 22 days (2008 prices) Last chance to see a stalinist personality cult before it gets Mc'westernized(or Richard Boyd Barett becomes Tioseach). Ive done the Russian trans-siberian myself and its something ill never forget and highly reccomend plus getting to see the DPRK. Its such a warped country its like getting an oppertunity to go back in time! Probably only a handfull of Irish people have ever been there so youll always have some craic to share.

From what I read it is, about 2000 foreign(ie: western) visitors a year. No never been to DPRK, my trip was Moscow to Beijing via Mongolia. Booked it with justgorussia.co.uk Organized the flights myself, they took care or the rest. This Swedish crowd organize North Korean rail trips though http://koreakonsult.com/index_eng.html Ive seen a few other European sights offering similar trips. I love to go myself one day but Im off to Auz in June so wont be this year!
