Anyone know if its possible to be exempt from communications with level 6 communications or does it have to be level 7.

Totally depends. I know that's not really an answer but the only prople who can tell you are registrar's. If it's the same amount of credits on a module it should be OK but best to drop up and ask. ( or call )
