The USB port on my Seagate expansion drive has come loose and I need someone to solder it back on for me. I've opened the unit and retrieved the loose part. Should be a simple job for someone who knows what they're doing. I'm a student so don't have much cash but am willing to pay for the service of course. Please PM me with your price. I'm based in Dublin.

    Thanks.

The same thing happened to me before. I have a WD Elements drive, but the tracks were ripped off too, making a repair impractical.

Assuming the drive has a standard SATA connection you'd be better off just ordering a new enclosure and plugging it into that. It would probably cost the same as an hour's labour anyways.

I'd ask in your college, unless they dont have an electronics department. A student might do it in 5 minutes for you, or a sound lab techician may. Dromp them up a box of milk tray or something afterwards if it really is only a 5 minute job. Any more, offer to pay.
