Why is Tiger so uptight about Heney telling everyone he had SEAL training in his new book?

Dunno really. I suppose he thinks its no one elses business, which it isnt.
Hes had enough intrusion in his private life to leave any one a bit touchy..

Couldn't agree more, but he needs to learn to handle the media better.

Pretty sure Tiger could not give a monkeys what Haney is saying, but more so the fact that Haney is saying anything at all. It's a trust issue I reckon.

While I think Tiger dose not care, I would imagine Steinberg (agent) dose not want too much private information being published, makes his job a bit harder when his players are being portrayed as nutters..

When I think about it, Williams and Haney and everyone else who has "outted" Tiger, what do I think of them.? Not a lot really, Woods is obviously a product of his "nuttyness". Be it his back round and all the stuff about his father, or just his general demeanor.

All these things in one way or an other have led to him being the golfer that he is, is it fair that they get to cash in on Tiger twice. First while he was playing, and then by saying he was a bit mental after he leaves them.

All in all it probably dose not really matter, Tiger is a bit of a nutter, everyone knows that at this stage. The proof was yesterday as he shot his best round in yonks, all the fans were only thinking of one thing, the golf.

    Who cares?
While golfers are famous, skilled at what they do, they are not important.

    imo

tiger would see the publication in haneys book of details about his private life as a deep betrayal.

he comes across as a very self conscious individual. and very very tightlipped about his private life.

    wonder what he's hiding??

at this stage tho... who cares about tigers private life? the fact that he was seriously considering joining the navy during his prime is minor news compared to insanity that broke 2 years ago.

a chapter telling the story of tiger wanting to become the first emo transvestite to land on the moon in full drag - now that would be worth reading.

haney is cashing in on tigers scandalous past to sell books, which makes him a bit of a dick imo.

I would assume it's more a confidentiality issue more than anything else. Tiger really should have made all his employees sign an NDA that would still apply even after they no longer worked together.

As far as impacting his game, are they not allowed have hobbies outside their profession? Didnt a European Golfer injure himself go-karting? David Love III is big into the snowboarding, I don't see any difference here.

Let's just hope Tiger is back to somewhere near his best and hopefully will look forward to some epic battles with Rory and whoever else is up there.

heres the first excerpt from Haneys book:

highlight for me is the grip change rather than the military stuff

regarding the grip change - fascinating glimpse into the mindest of TW, great read.

yea.... dont think he was too picky in that regard.

anyhoo, the military stuff / personel stuff doesnt interest me. its the technichal insight that fascinates me. to make a grip change 2 rounds into a tournament while leading... amazing courage of his conviction.

    he's still a knob tho.

Tiger is notoriously tight with money.
I'd say he's peeved at other people making a buck out of him.

It's nobody's business but tigers if he wants to balance a beachball on his nose and bark in return for a few fish.

I know Tiger is notoriously guarded about his image and all the rest of it but he's really missing a trick here. All this stuff about him training to be a Navy SEAL could actually be used to his favour. At a time when people think he's a bit of an arse, he could win back an awful lot of public support by confirming that he always secretly dreamed of joining the army, like his Dad, and fighting for his country. Sure the Americans love all that carry on. Now if only I was in PR...
