Compaq Laptop - worth buying?

I'm thinking of buying a Compaq Pressario CQ57-426EA laptop. Does anyone own this laptop because I need to know if it's any good.

They are ok, its a budget laptop with a fairly average processor which has a clock speed at 1.3 so its not up there really. I would be ok for doing office and internet things but could be sluggish doing anything more adventurous. Hence the low price of them

OK, anyone know of a good laptop for about £300? I need it for web applications, streaming music through spotify and only game is Football Manger. Not too bothered about gaming as such

The AMD E-300 processor is rather useless for a full size notebook, unless you're only looking for something very basic.

It can't even hold a candle to Intel's popular netbook processor Atom N570, never mind a dual core Atom D525.

AMD E-300 APU Passmark score: 589

Intel Atom N570 @ 1.66GHz Passmark score: 636

Intel Atom D525 @ 1.80GHz Passmark score: 712

Fujitsu are not great for warranty issues. Lenovo and Toshiba have irish back to base repairs. Fujitsu have bad rep for bad quality keyboards and declining warranty repairs for the same. Key fell off ? Oh that's misuse ! BS
