Looking for ear defenders for a child. Tried Amazon for these:

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Edz-Kidz-Red-Kids-Defenders/dp/B002PHV2S0

but they never arrived and if they send again I won't get them in time. :(

Is there a place in Dublin where you can buy these?

Would "normal" builders ones be suitable, could you get them from a builidng supplies store?

Cheers for the link. Kids size ones would be best. We have large ones already, but they don't stay on him.

Sensational Kids got back to me and told me they didn't sell them.

I found this place though in Dublin and they do sell them.

if required again,go to builder/construction shops or country/gun shops-these are the best place to get them.
try and look for the brand peltor,in particular their 'optime III' ones which are the most heavy duty and solid build ones available from own experience.

have just taken a pic of current ones of mine which are always very close to self incase of noise-

these ones are the optime IIIs;they sound like they may be a better fit for future purchase if he needs them-they use a velcro strap over the head which can be altered depending on head size, and a metal bar/wire thingy at the back of neck which keeps them stabilised.

ebay is a great place to find ear defenders on by the way, they have a lot of ones in kids sizes, its usualy where mine are bought from.
