Anyone using the new Titleist AP2 irons or 910 fairway woods?

I'm getting new sticks and considering these. Might end up going to the Titleist fitting centre without a choice of brands, so just trying to gather as much info as possible.

I like the look of the irons.

Not 100% keen on the fairway woods, and reckong TaylorMade have better ones on the market.

Certain that I want the D2 driver.

(Not looking to discuss, but rationale for going to Titleist versus Fore Golf is that I can buy via my pro shop, where members get a decent discount, or American Golf, which again have good prices. Fore Golf costs to fit, plus will have costly purchase price. Not sure it's worth the considerable amount extra when I'm happy to buy pretty much all Titleist anyway.)

Ive got the new 712 AP2 irons and love them! Nice thin topline and not bulky but have forgiveness in there too, like hitting the best of both worlds really

    I have a 910FD 13.5 and the 710 AP2.

Love both. The iron are great, look good, forgiveness yet you can still work them (if your good enough!!).

I only use the 910FD off the tee on tight driving holes or if the runout is too short for a driver. I have my good day and bad days with it but think its more to do with the shaft. Am getting the same shaft as my driver (D3) so will see how that goes. Picked it up cheap off ebay so not an expensive experiment. Is very solid and long when i hit it well.

Yep using all the above. Had the older 710s and got the 712s yesterday with s300 SL shafts. Really liked them yesterday. Very pleased. Shot +1 so that's a good start (better than I've been shooting lately). Not sure if the new clubs have anything to do with it but nonetheless I liked the feel and flight.

Do you notice much of a difference between the 710s and the 712s?

Haven't played enough with the 712s to say.

Haven't had a chance to hit them yet and dont think I can justify the price unless they are significantly better than the 710s.

Funny. There's just so much negative or slightly iffy feedback around the deep-face version. Very strange for a new model club, but to be fair, not strange for a Titleist 3 Wood.

Don't get me wrong it's a great club and is more the Indian than the arrow. Like all clubs you need to be fit. I picked it up second hand however after getting fit for a D3 driver am getting the same shaft for the 910FD. I'm confident this will help. I want to use it like a mini driver only off the tee so having teh same shaft as my driver makes sense.
