    Does anyone know what parish I'm looking for if I want to look At the records for mountmellick?

    Is it RC records you are interested in ?

    then the parish is also called Mountmellick, and it covers the civil parishes of Ardea, Castlebrack, Coolbanagher and Rosenallis. Mountmellick town is divided between Ardea and Rosenallis civil parishes.

    The NLI Microfilm reference is Pos. 4204, and the baptism and marriage records for the parish go back to early 1814, with a few gaps.

    Brill thanks Shane yes it is RC. Sometimes I just can't get my head around parishes, baronies and districts :)
