Lads,is there much hassle when a bitch comes into heat other than keeping her away from the males. Still looking for a springer pup black & white. Looking for a dog but theres none at the moment. Theres a few bitches but i didnt really give them a thought coz i thought they would be a nusance when in heat. Some lads say the bitches are easier to train & stuff. Dont know what to do.

i have a mixtuer and there is not much hassel just keep her seperated for the duration, i dont think you can say either dogs or bitche;s are easier to train it's all to do with how intelligent the animal is.

What Pat says is true enough I have had dogs and bitches and never found one consistently easier to train than the other. All down to temprement which is different for each pup regardless of sex. Are you looking for black and white for any particular reason other than personal preference? I have heard some people saying that black and whites are easier/harder/better/worse than liver and whites or visa versa. This is not true at all just to let you know.
Remember a good dog is never a bad colour!;)

there is no problem as long as you keep them seperate , but ive had dogs in the past that stopped eating and barking all night because the bitch would be in heat and this for couple of weeks is a pain , so if you had some where to put the bitch during her heat it would be less stress full on the males .

put yourself in there shoes so to speak
