I am currently closing a deal for buying a tractor in England. What documents should I expect to get with it to register the tractor over here, as the tractor will be on the road alot?Anything I should look out for or be weary off?any sites where I could check the chassis/reg number?

    any help would be appreciated.

bare in mind the high exchange rates at the minute when purchasing.s/h tractors are hard bought in england at the minute and are scarce due to export markets.buy of a well established dealer and be able to follow him up if a technicality arises.get the reg and chassis number of him and perform a background check.if the tractors legit he wont mind giving you these details. you will need the tax book, certificate of ownership and a receipt from the dealer you purchased the tractor of to re register it here.i brought a ts115 turbo over in august and re registered it.needed a whole load of documents.you need to ring your nct center and book an appointment to re register it and they will tell you what you need to have and bring with you.

be careful whom you are dealing with. have a look over on bff and try to discover if the dealer is reputable. dealers with the leters F and Q in their name are best avoided for example.
