Regardless of what garage you're recommended, you should do as suggested if it's something you particularly don't want them to do. Most garages will do bulbs, air filter and wiper blades if they deem them necessary without being asked.

My understanding is that the OP doesn't want to be charged for changing these things if they weren't even looked at.

If I had a shill-ing for every new reg poster recommending something - I'd have a good few shills.

I presume you mean me Esel. Yes I am new to boards, you were at one stage too, everyone is. I don't that gives you the right to imply there's something iffy about my post, I just thought I could help the op out, I thought that was largely the point of boards...

Good that you know what a shill is, and that you do not seem to be one.

However, when I signed up to Boards, I read all the relevant information, especially about never posting personal information or phone numbers.

If you want to recommend a service to someone, you can always do it by PM (Private Message). These days, I think you have to have made at least 25 posts before you can PM a user, but that is not a difficult target to reach for a regular user. Anyway, sorry if I offended you. Its just that the vast majority of new users whose initial posts are shillish usually are.

Hope you find that elusive cheap, economical, safe, reliable and comfortable car. I do not think the Jimny fits under safe or economical, though. :D
