how to adjust a carbon seatpost

Hi my seatpost on my felt b12 seems to have ceased it won't budge at all. it is a carbon frame and seatpost so i don't want to be too rough with it. has anyone any ideas on what can be done with it as i hope to use it next weeend. many thanks. Keelan.
