To be able to drive a car (category B), you need to apply for your learner permit, but you can only do that once you turn 17!

When you turn 16 you can apply for a Category W learner permit, which allows you to drive tractors/work vehicles (but NOT cars). If you want to drive cars and not tractors, you might instead hold onto the theory test certificate and apply for a learner permit (for category B/W, both cars and work vehicles) once you turn 17.

You do this usually at your local motor tax office.
You will need an eyesight report also, but this can only be held within one month of applying for your learner permit, so if you are waiting until you turn 17, do not do this until you are almost 17.

Apply for your Tractor Learner Permit as normal in your local tax office, you'll get it sent out once they process it.

You'll have to reapply to get Cat. B added to your permit once you turn (or just before) you're 17. I THINK you'll have to do another eye test

Yes, as far as I'm aware, you definitely need another eye test. It only costs about €15 if I remember correctly, and can often be done without appointment so it's no big deal!

Congrats on passing the theory test, by the way! :)
