got robbed ..what to do ?

lets say if someone gets robbed of their belongings like clothes..personal stuff and money..lets say i was on a train station and someone robbed my suitcase with all that inside, and an envelope with 3000 euros inside it..am I bliged to get an compensation or some of my money back ?
