I was out last night and I met an old friend who I used to hang out with a lot a few years ago. We are both early twenties. We were both a bit drunk and when we met out we hung out for the rest of the night, doing shots etc.
Hes a teacher and he was embarrassed that some of his students were also out. We kept going for walks around to avoid them. He said he missed me, that I
was hot and that his female friends thought I was good looking. We eventually kissed at the end of the night and he kept asking was I sure I didn't have a boyfriend! He wasn't too happy when it was time for me to leave.
Hes a really, really shy, nice guy. He's not the type that gets girls. I dont think that I've ever seen him with a girl!
He said he would Facebook me soon... I'm afraid that I came on too strong to him and that he felt he had to kiss me. I'm just I have a feeling that he didn't really want to kiss me...
I'm feeling really wierd about it this morning. Just looking for outside opinions?!

All of your post suggests that he likes you, not that you came on too strong

Some guys need encouragement. He might be quite unsure of his prospects with you, and he might still need some encouragement. If he doesn't message you on Facebook in the next 3 days or so, it might be a good idea to send him a cheery message reminding him that he is supposed to get in touch with you.

Hi, op here. Thanks for the replies!
I know it's been over a week since I first posted here, but this is just an update on the situation.
I texted him the next day to say sorry for being so drunk. He texted me back hours later saying he had a laugh anyway and did I have a good night. I replied that I did but he never texted me back!
I saw him out the weekend just gone and we chatted for a few minutes but then I got distracted and he walked away. Earlier that day I had met a mutual friend in town who smiled and told me he would be coming out that night.
He must have mentioned we kissed or she found out somehow because she said it in a way that she was hoping id say something to confirm it but I didn't.
I actually quite like him, I just don't know what to do now because I don't know if he actually likes me or not. Any more ideas?

I'd reckon he's unsure where things stand, because you were both drunk OP. He may think it was only a bit of fun for you. He may be worried about getting shot down if he asks you out properly or even trying it on with you the last night. Trust me, I've been like that in the past :)

Seeing as he's really shy, I'd say text him and ask him does he fancy meeting for a drink/coffee whatever you feel like.

That way you'll know for sure where things stand. Best of luck :)

    +1 on everything Herrick says

All of the things that you're thinking right now - "Does he really like me", "Maybe he was drunk", and so forth are exactly the same things that he's worrying about.

I don't agree with the above op. He has had 2 chances to keep things going and he hasn't. I would just put it to the back of my head and see what happens if he is out but as I said above he could have kept the text chat going or come back over to chat to you if he really wanted.

He sounds extremely shy, so coming over is very unlikely.

OP, I say lay all cards on the table and ask him out for a drink with just the two of ye. That way at least you know one way or another how he feels about you and you get to move forward either way.

I think it really sounds like he likes you but is just a bit afraid of making the wrong moves and probably thinks you don't like him, so make it crystal clear. Ring or text, it doesn't matter which, just ask him out for a drink directly. :)

If you like him, go for it, if he rejects you then move on, if he doesnt then he just nearly messed up a good chance, but you saved the day.

Forget all this "he had 2 chances" stuff, its really that simple that if you like him ask him out for a drink.

    Games are messy.

Texting him the next day apologising for being so drunk was probably the worst thing you could have done if you're interested in him. It basically comes across as if you only did it because you were drunk and that you regret it. If I got a text like that I'd automatically presume you weren't interested.

    Agree with the above.

    Op here again!
Ya I thought that myself but I basically did it to cover my own arse in case he thought I came on too strong while I was drunk. I didn't want to end up looking stupid. I know being afriad of looking stupid is stupid!
Actually I think the amount of boys I know and ususally hang outwith on nights out might have put him off also. I do get with a lot of boys and he probably knows that.
I think most of these fellas are idiots, just out for what they can get... it's a shame that they might have scared a good one away!?

So why do you 'get with' them if they are idiots??? Also, if you are with so many guys that its scaring decent guys off, you probably need to evaluate what you are getting out of this..
