Permalink redirect error

My WP blog is tagged onto my website as website.co.uk/WP. All works fine apart from one thing. Some of the links to articles in the blog won't lead to that specific page, but display the home page.
I have looked around in the WP help and tutorial files, but can't see the wood from the trees.
Where do I find compact and concise information on how to set the parameters for permalinks in WP?
Is there a quick fix to this nuisance?

Replace old permalink with new one from database using this query.

UPDATE wp_posts SET guid = replace(guid, 'http://www.old-domain.com','http://www.new-domain.com');

UPDATE wp_posts SET post_content = replace(post_content, 'http://www.old-url.com', 'http://www.new-url.com');

Thanks dude. Undoubtedly very good advice, but just one problem. I have no idea where to go to be able to carry out this query.
My WP knowledge on a scale of 1 to 100 is probably around 4.

As it happens, I saw somebody yesterday who found out where the problem is.

Current path: website.com/article tag

Should be: website.com/WP/article tag

Where do I go to change the default path setting? I am a bit weary to go experimenting because the last time I did that, the whole blog disappeared.

Go to your PHP Myadmin your site database and run this replace query in sql tab.
